Dr. Diana Reiss

Dr. Diana Reiss is a cognitive psychologist and marine mammal scientist who holds professorships at Hunter College and The Graduate Center, City University of New York. She directs the Animal Behavior and Conservation Graduate program within Hunter College's Psychology Department. Reiss’ research focuses on dolphin cognition and communication, comparative animal cognition, and the evolution of intelligence. She uses her findings to advocate globally not only for the protection of dolphins and whales but also for a greater appreciation of the inner lives of all beings.
